The Administration recently announced intentions to implement $200 billion worth of additional tariffs on U.S. imports from China. This announcement (USTR-2018-0026) came after the Administration released a list of more than 6,031 product lines that will be charged a 10 percent tariff.
Administration officials said these new tariffs would not go into effect for at least two months. Once enacted, the newly proposed tariffs could impact a wide-range of economic sectors, including agriculture and automobile manufacturing.
When Did The Administration Start Proposing Tariffs On Imports From China?

How Can Companies Get Their Products Taken Off The List For USTR-2018-0026?
To be considered, you must submit comments and responses in accordance with the following schedule:
- July 27, 2018: due date for filling requests to appear at a hearing at the U.S. International Trade Commission
- August 17, 2018: due date for submission of written comments
- August 20-23, 2018: the Section 301 Committee will convene a public hearing in the main hearing room of the U.S. International Trade Commission
- August 30, 2018: due date for submission of post-hearing rebuttal comments
